In our 40 years we've never encountered Americans at this campsite

That's what our Norwegian friend Cristian told us. You see our second stop on this adventure has been at a typical Norewgian campsite. For our California friends think car camping. This site features all options  -- tents, RVs, semi-permenant structures where campers sit next to these additions (think Lake Isabella structures), to the three cabins built in front of the North Sea. We are in the cabin described as the "Japanese" abode because the structure is decorated in fake Oriental art. I am just glad we have our own sink, dishwasher, electricity and private flushing toilet. Also of note at the campsite is a trampoline, life sized chess court, sandbox and play equipment. It is a great place for families even young kids! We have had the chance to meet Norwegians like Cristian. He taught us the Norwegian alphabet and how to say many phrases. Sadly he left when we were canoeing in the fjord, but he left us a note and we can connect on Facebook! I took some early morning shots of life on the campsite. Check them out and share your best campsite recipes we will feature photos on the blog!
